How we score
One number for how well a chapter sets members up for life after college, with Career Prep and Social shown side by side so you can see what kind of chapter it is.
Every chapter gets three numbers:
We show Career Prep and Social side by side because the contrast is the story. A chapter with Social 91 and Career Prep 58 is a different place from one with Social 70 and Career Prep 88.
Advantage = 80% × Career Prep + 20% × Social + Posting Boost + Hiring Boost, capped at 100.
We don't add up every rating and divide. Each question feeds one specific part. Star ratings (1 to 5) are turned into 0 to 100 in a straight line: 1 star is 0, 3 stars is 50, 5 stars is 100.
Outcomes come from facts, not stars: whether someone landed a job or internship, how they got it, and whether they graduated on time. We turn those answers into rates and compare them with the campus.
Alumni activity only ever raises a part. A chapter whose alumni aren't on GreekImpact yet isn't marked down for it.
Boosts are shown separately and added after the weighting.
A hire counts when both sides confirm it (the alum marks Hired and the student confirms), or when one side confirms and our team checks by hand that the student's LinkedIn profile shows them at that company. If only one side has confirmed, the hire is pending and doesn't count yet. We never scrape LinkedIn.
| Advantage Score | Tier |
|---|---|
| 85–100 | Exceptional |
| 70–84 | Strong |
| 55–69 | Solid |
| Below 55 | Developing |
| Under 5 reviews | Limited data |
Chapters don't have to do anything for their page to work. Those that take part earn trust and visibility, never score points.
In rankings we sort by tier first. Within a tier, active chapters come first (verified chapters, chapters with either badge, and chapters with at least 5 reviews of which 50% or more are verified), then by Advantage Score. Chapters with Limited data always come last.
